Genelec’s 7360A SAM Active Subwoofer is a strong and accurate bass monitor for up to 7.1 surround systems. With its 19Hz low-frequency extension, high-sound-pressure output capacity, and adjustable bass control system, the 7360A provides precise low-frequency monitoring for all analog and digital applications, including recording studios, digital workstations, and TV and radio broadcasting facilities. The 7360A has numerous patented technologies, including Genelec’s LSE (Laminar Spiral Enclosure), AutoCal, and the GLM control network. The 10″ subwoofer is driven by an integrated 300-watt Class D amplifier and has active crossovers, Intelligent Signal Sensing, and protective circuitry. For strong, clean deep bass extension with Genelec SAM full-range speakers, the 7360A is highly recommended.

The LSE is a Bass Reflex the Cabinet

Genelec’s Laminar Spiral Enclosure is constructed of sheet metal folded into a spiral form and secured between thick MDF side panels. This unique construction approach gives outstanding laminar flow properties while minimizing turbulence noise, allowing for the ideal packing of a very long reflex tube into a tiny area. The amplifier unit built inside the cabinet has active crossover filters and driver overload protection circuitry. The bass management unit has six signal input and output channels, summed signal output connections, and an LFE input with a switchable 85/120Hz lowpass filter and a 0/+10dB LFE sensitivity switch.

AutoCal and Bass Management

Genelec is cutting-edge AutoCal technology that automatically aligns each subwoofer for volume, crossover phase, timing, and equalization of ambient response aberrations. The 7360A uses Genelec’s distributed bass management architecture to handle multichannel low-frequency material, resulting in extended LF performance, precise tone reproduction, and robust dynamic capabilities.
