Many Sweetwater studio engineers consider our outboard gear to be among our most prized possessions. If we’re being completely honest, though, we must admit that cabling and routing can be a drag. That’s one of the reasons why we’re delighted about the FreqInOut Fo1! This ingenious device is a user-friendly hardware interface with four audio inputs and outputs that connect to a computer via USB-C; it also lets you seamlessly integrate your own precious outboard audio gear directly into your audio software via its hardware matrix. The FreqInOut Fo1 hardware interface effectively removes the complexity of routing and cabling setup, removes inconsistent timing issues when recording, and enables you to process multiple signals simultaneously. Finally, the interface is expandable and allows you to add four or eight more I/O features a Mid-Side mode, a Hardware Mix for parallel processing, and sports top-tier ESS 32 bit converters with support for up to 192kHz sample rates.
How does it work?
First, connect your outboard equipment to the FreqInOut, then open the plug-in within your DAW and get to work! We think you’ll find that the FreqInOut plug-in will supercharge your workflow. The built-in hardware Matrix allows you to reconfigure the signal flow through your outboard equipment and does so without adding latency. You can even capture your hardware settings by scanning a QR Code and create a custom skin inside the plug-in. Pretty cool, right?
